Places in Jordan - Canyons

The Great Rift Valley stretches from the Toros Mountains in northern Turkey all the way south along the Jordan valley to the Jordanian side of the mountains in the eastern desert. Here, these canyons continue for many kilometres until the lower regions of the Dead Sea.

These canyons are simply natural cracks that have taken place amongst the rocks and they were formed both by water flowing or winds blowing. Some of them are dry, and others are full of water.

They really are a must to see … nothing in the world compares with them.
